AACE Endorses Low T St. Louis Method for TRT

AACE Low T Treatment

Many men are asking these questions and more to see if a boost in testosterone is just what the doctor ordered. A March 2015 consumer alert by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) questioned the safety and efficacy of testosterone treatment based on a lack of established evidence. (FDA) Despite this, testosterone therapy has quickly become one of the most popular hormone treatment methods for both men and women.

In May 2015, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) gathered for their 24th Annual Scientific and Clinical Congress. During their summit, the AACE gave a resounding endorsement for testosterone treatment. At the heart of their endorsement are study findings by multiple researchers on various aspects of testosterone therapy, such as decreased cardiovascular risk and health benefits for women. (AACE)

Susan Davis, MBBS, FRACP, PhD, also detailed the benefits of testosterone treatment for women during the AACE gathering. Dr. Davis shared multiple cases of women suffering from hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD), an under active sex drive, who have experienced tremendous improvement over a decade of treatment study. The women studied also developed augmented muscle mass and increased bone density, two of the common benefits of testosterone treatment.

The AACE endorsement echoes those of physicians across the U.S. who fully support testosterone therapy. There is no substantial evidence supporting any claims that testosterone therapy increases cardiovascular risk, a primary claim of the original FDA consumer alert. In fact, the AACE addressed the growing amount of evidence that the opposite is true – testosterone therapy actually reduces known contributors to cardiovascular disease, such as increased body mass and abdominal fat.
